Project Rescue

Since August, 1978, the Spirit of Freedom Ministries has been a non-profit Christian organization headquartered in Metairie, Louisiana. They have designed a unique Bible-based program to instruct the drug and alcohol dependent to a life of freedom through Jesus Christ. This program is called Christian Intervention Program (CIP). Landmark Tabernacle adopted this program in 1999. In 2003, Project Rescue was developed to offer the CIP curriculum as well as other upcoming courses.

Fred Hyde is the director of the Spirit of Freedom Ministries. His tape, “Raised From The Ruins”, describes a portion of his life and how God raised him from the ruins of drugs and alcohol. CIP offers adult and youth sessions. These lessons are designed to give an insight to the effects of drugs and alcohol based upon Bible scriptures. These lessons also cover life skills for today’s world. The adult & youth session consist of twenty lessons to be taught for one hour each week. At the completion of this program, the student receives a Certificate of Completion. The cost of the adult & youth program is twenty dollars. This cost covers the cost of the lesson book, Bible and tape in which the student keeps.
