Men
Mission Statement:
Strong men leading their family into a growing relationship with Jesus
Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost: being Godly leaders in the home,
faithful stewards in the church and dependable in the community.
God is a man' s living example of what a husband, father and friend are
to be in the world we live in. I hope to convey in a few short words what
I have found to be true in my life's journey. Please bear with me as I
expose a small fragment of what I have found important in my life.
A husband is more than the provider. As Christ gave himself for the church,
so the husband should nurture and care for his wife. As Christ is without
spot or blemish to the church, so the man should always strive to be a
proper example to his wife and home. The husband should always evoke love
to his wife so that the feeling of a bride continues long after the marriage
begins. This will enable children in the home to get a sense of how to
have healthy relationships. I read a powerful quote that spoke volumes
to me, “The best thing a father can do for his children is to love
their mother”.

We are the spiritual leader in our family; the priest of the home. Your
wife and children need to see you live the life of a Christian at all
times. Being the example to your friends and community will speak great
volumes to your family as they watch you treat with respect others around
you. Giving commands and 'it's my way or the highway' position will not
enforce clear direction. We can live it in a deliberate, persuasive manner
with love and sincerity. We must walk the walk and talk the talk.
A father's influence is unique. Through a variety of studies it has been
discovered that it is the father's relationship with the child that is
the strongest predictor of the child's later success or failure with school
and friends, not the mother's. The reason father's have this extreme influence
on their children is because the father child relationship evokes emotion
in them. The example of a nurturing father will transfer down to his son
or daughter to many generations to come.
